The longer version
My studio gallery is placed in the cosy Jægergårdsgade in Aarhus, that is where I both make and sell my work. Everything is hand thrown on the potter’s wheel in porcelain clay and I like pushing the boundaries of both my personal expression and the limits of the clay. Thus my newest work includes Rotundas, vases made out of soft, hand thrown rings of clay and the series Tectonic where I cut and tear in the thrown pots.
Over the last few years I have exhibited at SOFA Chicago, COLLECT in London, Copenhagen and SOFA New York. My everyday life is in the studio gallery though, and here you can find everything from your own personal cup or salad bowl to unique pieces of ceramic art.
I graduated from the Glass- and Ceramic School on Bornholm, Denmark where I did a BA in 2004. Following that, I moved to London, where I worked as an assistant for ceramist Julian Stair until 2006.
I got my own studio in Aarhus, Denmark in 2007.My company name is Formuleret. It translates into articulated. But the word is also a combination of the two words form and clay. That is what I do. I form clay, and I am articulated about it.
Language and its nuances are important to me. That is the reason this webpage doesn’t have a full English version; it takes forever to translate it properly – and then I’ll rather not.
I have tried to put English tags on all photos, so try using Search. I’m also very happy to tell you more about my work – also in English. So please don’t hesitate to contact me, if you have any questions.
